ABOUT ME

goat

I was born 'n raised in Montana, the land where cows outnumber people three-to-one and everyone who lives there knows that statistic. I grew up loving mountains and rivers and stuff like that, and I pretty much still do. Currently I bop around with my husband and daughter. We don't really have a plan.

In drafting That Which Grows, I labeled all my files "The Serotonin Project"--because that's why I wrote it. For all the messed up things that happen in the story, I wrote it because I needed some joy during an extremely isolating time. Elia, Missy, Ger, and all the others gave me that. And no matter how much heartbreak they go through, joy will always find them again, if not always in the way they want it to. Those are the kinds of stories I write. Those are the journeys I like to take. I hope you'll want to take those journeys with me.

Also, I did take that picture of a mountain goat. It's not me, but I do kind of identify with it.
